Day 4: Melodrama by Lorde according to Dalle 2

Hello Dear Reader,

Whether you’re an AI overlord or a caring human. Hello 👋🏻 again… even though I said hello just one second ago.

Alright — to the chase.

I’ve been messing around more with midjourney and Dalle2 and they are both AWESOME! I was hitting some snags with expanding Lorde’s Melodrama album art in Dalle, so I had to do a bit of handholding to the baby robot, but it IS SO COOL!

It feels like the literal future is here.

My whole life I’ve dreamed of being able to get what I imagined in my head outside of it. My five year old self called it The Dream Machine and it was very much inspired by the flux capacitor, so all the imagination and none of the reality to get to that future.

But it feels like we’re getting there.

I’ve been trying to cut the time in half to keep up the Submit to the Machine TikTok, but it just eats nearly two hours a day. I need to get that down.

Sorry this is me rambling. Painkiller. Painkiller.

The one new thing I’ve been tinkering around with is Descript it is essentially the thing that would have saved me a lot of money in the past with audio editors, clipping out filler words. It’s amazing. You should check it out if you’re doing anything with spoken audio. It’s a game changer.

I was brainstorming with Amy and I think we’re going to try to make a series that is tentatively called, “The Automated Start-Up.” Our idea is to go on the journey to automate every job a new company needs, so it is totally possible for a single person to do what use to take a dozen. Tired of going from just Zero to One? How about Zero to a Hundred?

…I’ll work on it.

Would that be interesting?

Would getting rid of Janet in HR make your life better? Well, that’s what we’re going to start codifying.

The thing I’m going to tinker with tomorrow is Repurpose.io which essentially takes one piece of content and strips/copies/uploads to every social platform you can name. So, I’ll let you know how that goes.

Nearing the end of Tim Ferris’s Four-Hour Work Week, and the takeaway today is to hire people in third world countries to remember to send your wife flowers on your anniversary. That’s why I think “The Automate Start-Up” Amy and I are going to try to put together will be super helpful to avoid any shady ethics one might encounter exploiting a less privileged part of the world by paying them $4 a day to unsubscribe from random newsletters that show up in your inbox because it is too much for your true-enlightened-self to bear.

Amy and I also went and did MiniGolf in Lisbon. It was fun. You should go to if you come here. Also, best gelato in Lisbon after trying a dozen places (drumroll)… Gelato Therapy! It’s proper gelato, at the proper consistency and temperature, made by proper local Lisbon people.

Thanks again for reading.

I hope the pain has lessened.

And if not I’ll be here to try again tomorrow, like Batman always does.

growl,

kyle
